As it begin..
Aspiration Camp, a camp which is not like any other normal camp. A camp for DSA (Down Syndrome Association).
I was the befriender for this camp and it really nice working with Boon Ying through out the camp, and our camper is Arassi . It really coincident that I got her as my camper for the camp, as she is my buddy for Night Safari. Went Singapore Discovery Centre during the first day, I can see that she really enjoy herself there, dancing, building of house, making of finger puppet. And we found out that she love to eat chicken + rice. =D
I think it really been nice of my group during one of the lunch where the befrienders actually gave some portion of the chicken meat to Arassi as she really love to eat chicken meat. =)) but it sad that she got to leave on the second day afternoon to attend some function in the evening, was pining hope that she will return on the last day but eventually she didn’t.
So both me and Boon Ying become free GP for the rest of the camp, but we manage to follow the group around for activities. I think if she stay through out the camp, she will pretty enjoy herself much as it was all her favorite activities, disco night and pool games.
During the closing ceremony, they show a video on what the activities we had during the first 2 days. It's really memorable seeing all the camper enjoy themselves in the games that the event team had plan. I think what most important thing is the smile on their face. =)
Through, I was only with my camper for a day and a half but I really enjoying doing the activities with her. The pesi cola games, the smiling biscuit, the twist, good and okay sign and not forgetting the drawing that she draw for us with a little note in it. And lastly, the hug she gave and the word she said before she leave the camp. =)
Thank you OCs for organizing this camp. I really enjoy myself =)
Went back school today for FYP session. My mood was totally turn off when I had er.. 28 lines of errors when I run the program. It was a totally turn off for me. But it okay, it was my error anyway. =S
